OH HEY THERE

Welcome to our awkward book blog. If you're an actual person, thanks for stopping by. If you're some weird spammy internet site, thanks for boosting our page views.

Stephanie and Lauren will be participating in the Standalone Reading Challenge this year and you should too! We will read 15 standalone young adult books that come out in 2014 (from this Goodreads list) and we'll discuss them here.

A little bit about us...

We've been best friends since one fateful day freshman year in Philosophy 301 and we've basically been a package deal ever since. So we decided that since our friendship is long distance, we should find something fun to do. Since apparently we have no lives. *It's actually too true.*

Stephanie
So, Stephanie here. This is the first time I'm ever doing something like this. Writing a blog, posting my opinions for everyone to see. I usually lurk in the corners of the internet never actually commenting but having lots to say. With luck, something people can relate to or at the very least argue with.

I'm a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. Right now, I'm waiting to still figure out how I'm going to accomplish what I want to do with my life. Hopefully, inspiration comes soon.

Lauren
Aaand I'm Lauren. Like Stephanie, I feel like I always have a lot to say and quite frequently, it's not coherent at all, so this should be an interesting experience. I read a lot, which is the most epic understatement ever made, and I tend to speak hyperbolically.

I, too, am a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. Right now, I'm saving up for a big move and writing every chance I get.

So we hope you'll come back and hang out with us. Read with us. Argue with us. Think we're stupid but don't actually post anything on our page, like Stephanie would.

If you're interested in joining, click the Standalone Reading Challenge link above. We'll be posting our upcoming read after each review/discussion so feel free to read with us.

*Obviously, if you couldn't tell Lauren is writing most of this post.*

FIRST BOOK: The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson
(she wrote Speak therefore she is a baller)
